Cuebiq
Introduction
Cuebiq is a leading location intelligence company that helps marketers understand consumers’ offline journeys. It leverages its location intelligence database to analyze consumers’ offline behaviors and visitation trends for attribution reporting and developing geo-behavioral audiences for cross-channel ad targeting.
Cuebiq was founded in early 2016 on the realization that vast troves of mobility data could provide the insights to solve a diverse range of social and business problems. It has succeeded in becoming a leading insights and measurement company by providing companies a trusted, high-quality, and transparent source for offline visitation data and tools.
Cuebiq is at the forefront of industry privacy standards, implementing a privacy-forward framework in its data collection that's unrivaled across the industry. Headquartered in New York City, Cuebiq Inc. is made up of 80+ employees.
Market Differentiators
Cuebiq is the only location insights company that can provide the formidable combination of the following key elements:
-
Cuebiq's privacy-forward approach to data collection is a key differentiator in the space. It goes beyond bare compliance and considers the future of privacy regulation and public opinion when building its products and policies. With the moral and ethical implications of user privacy in today's data-driven landscape, brand safety is no longer just about the environment in which ads run. It's also tied to the origin of the data that you use for your initiatives.
-
Cuebiq is one of the very first location providers certified by the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI), the leading self-regulatory body for privacy in online advertising.
-
Cuebiq is also proud to be media agnostic. It's unique to the industry in that it doesn't sell media and isn't affiliated with a media company. It's 100% Media, DMP, and DSP agnostic, with the sole purpose of helping clients understand their brand’s performance.
-
Because of the scale of its data—100+ data points per device per day—Cuebiq can understand how much time consumers spent at various locations using Dwell Time. It uses this to double-verify visits to brick-and-mortar locations.

Methodology
Cuebiq maintains relationships with mobile apps that reach a diverse base of de-identified, opted-in users, giving it the ability to collect data daily. Its data is never bidstream. Cuebiq's app partners collect precise locations (on average 100 data points per user, per day) directly from the phone’s operating system, leveraging GPS and WiFi signals to understand offline behaviors at scale. The location data Cuebiq collects is 100% deterministic because it's collected directly from the device operating system.
Refresh Cadence
For syndicated audiences in Basis, Cuebiq sends daily incremental updates, followed by a monthly full refresh.
Data Privacy Approach
Cuebiq’s data is privacy-compliant and sets the standard for ethical and responsible data collection by only collecting data from opted-in users. It's a charter signatory and driving force behind the NAI Precise Location Information Solution Provider Voluntary Enhanced Standards.
Cuebiq has a Sensitive Points of Interest (SPOI) Policy listed here: cuebiq.com/spoi-policy. It doesn't provide audiences or measurement for sensitive locations, such as churches, abortion clinics, and cancer centers.
