AdsWizz
Summary
AdsWizz is an audio only exchange with access to many premium publishers, most notably, exclusive access to Pandora. Access to their inventory is by deal only. There are two ways to access their inventory:
-
PMP direct with the publisher
-
PMP for AdsWizz marketplace
How to Buy
Direct with the Publisher
AdsWizz manages the PMP requests coming from Basis, but they do encourage direct communication between buyers and publishers. In some markets, such as Europe, or if a buyer already has a business relationship with the publisher, the publisher can be contacted directly. PMP requests should be sent to programmatic.requests@adswizz.com.
For Pandora or Soundcloud PMPs, contact them directly at programmatic-sales@pandora.com, as Pandora and Soundcloud are managed by their own sales team.
The requests should include the following info:
-
Advertiser(s)
-
Agency
-
Budget
-
Flight dates
-
Targeting
-
Desired publishers (if known)
Based on that info, AdsWizz will ask the publisher for approval. $5,000 per PMP, per month, is a typical minimum budget, but they may accept less depending on the opportunity size, medium-long term, or for example, if a big advertiser wants to do a test.
Deals must always be struck in USD. Deals made in other currencies will not bid.
Pandora and Soundcloud
For Pandora or Soundcloud, minimums are higher at $10,000 per month, depending on the duration of the campaign flight. Again, there may be some flexibility.
AdsWizz Marketplace
The marketplace is managed by AdsWizz. It includes a mix of all AdsWizz publishers who have made their inventory available though that channel. For some pubs that sell direct, the marketplace will be lower in their waterfall, but for others, all inventory is available there. In the US, the martketplace is represented by Audiology and Pandora, as AdsWizz doesn't have their own sales department.
The advantage of being connected to the marketplace is that with one Deal ID a buyer can potentially reach all publishers behind the marketplace (20-30+ pubs). Also, the marketplace inventory is usually cheaper than PMPs. It is essentially blind traffic, that is, publishers cannot be cherrypicked from inside the marketplace and targeting is usually done based on genre. This also means that domain or app information is not provided, which would not normally meet our supply quality policy, but since these are based on deals, the policy would be overridden anyway. Use with discretion.
Deals for the marketplace are approved by AdsWizz alone. They do not have to be separately approved by each publisher.

Technical / Other Considerations
Creative Requirements
Creatives can be in any audio format, including wav, ogg, aac, as the SSP will do transcoding to match the format the publisher supports without modifying the content of the ad.
The supported duration is between 10 to 60 seconds, but usually it’s 15, 30, or 60 seconds. Most publishers go with 15 seconds and sometimes 30 seconds.
Longer duration ads might have higher CPM.
Deal Targeting
AdsWizz can do first-party data, genre, device, or DMA targeting via deal.
Otherwise, match rates seen on AdsWizz traffic is decent, so audience targeting done through the DSP should have reasonable scale.
Sensitive Categories
Acceptance of sensitive categories such as cannabis, CBD, and political are dependent on the publisher. The category should be noted during deal negotiation.
