Programmatic Guaranteed

Programmatic guaranteed (PG) is supported on FreeWheel.

Negotiations are handled manually between the buyer and the seller. The seller provides the deal ID to the buyer, who can then put it into their My Deals library in Basis. Seats are assigned on a one-to-one basis with DSP Advertiser IDs. If a publisher asks which seat to send the deal to, provide the DSP Advertiser ID for the customer in question.

Creatives will be submitted to FreeWheel and the publisher after they've been added to a tactic that targets a FreeWheel PG deal. The tactic doesn't have to be online. It's a good practice to set up the tactic with ads well before the flight starts to ensure that the creative has time to be audited and approved.

Technical Considerations

NBCU / Peacock

Video must be 3rd party VAST served by an NBCU approved vendor, or hosted by Basis. In order to be certified, we had to enhance the way we transcode creatives upon upload. This means anyone wishing to run on Peacock must use a unique video creative that hasn't been previously uploaded to the DSP prior to November 2022. Uploading the same creative again will not work, it must be a new, unique creative.

To reuse a creative that was uploaded prior to November 2022, you can transcode or slightly change the creative file before re-uploading it, as that is sufficient for the DSP to consider it unique.
