Undertone provides a suite of solutions that enable rich creative capabilities that make emotional connections with users across Desktop, Video, CTV, Mobile, and more. Partnership with Undertone provides you with their award-winning creative team as added-value, to ensure your brand is presented in the best way possible to maximize impact with your creative assets. They also have 1:1 publisher relationships allowing your brand to be shown across top publishers so that you are seen on quality content in environments that have been vetted for fraud, ad clutter, and sensitive content. They have also been certified specifically to run our formats.

The available custom creative types include, but aren't limited to:

  • High Impact Display

  • Video Suite including interactive capabilities

  • High Impact CTV

  • Page Grabber (full page, interactive interstitial)

  • Impact Video (full page interstitial with video and branded skin)

  • Brand Reveal (large format inline that becomes visible as users scroll)

  • Bottom Adhesion (expandable and non-expandable)

Technical Considerations

There are special requirements to run Undertone's proprietary creatives in the DSP.

To run Undertone's creatives:

  1. Request the deal ID from Undertone with the following info:

    1. Campaign name

    2. Deal type

    3. Who controls targeting

      It is important to ensure that any targeting implemented in the deal by Undertone not be duplicated in the DSP target to avoid potential scaling issues.

    4. Units / Number of units

      • Recommended spend guidelines for units requiring Undertone creative builds is as follows:

        • $15k-$35k: 1 unit

        • $35k-$75k: 1-2 units

        • $75k-$150k: 2-3 units

    5. Flight dates

    6. Projected net spend/range (monthly or total)

    7. Reporting requirements

      1. Timing or cadence

      2. Delivery, Clicks, Engagements and Interactions, and VCR (if applicable) are reported. Please advise if additional metrics are needed.

  2. Collaborate on creative builds, approval, and QA.

  3. Provide any additional trackers or pixels to be appended to units.

  4. Undertone will provide final ad tags and test pages.

  5. Upload ad tags to DSP as type: Ad Tag, and link ad to campaign.

Care must be taken to ensure Undertone's custom creatives do not run where they are not supported. Submit a ticket to support requesting ad approval, indicating the ad ID and explain that the campaigns are set up correctly to target the deal, and the ad is not being used in any other campaign not targeting the deal.
