Creating a Report Schedule

You can schedule campaign and DSP reports in Basis to build reports on a regular basis for a defined period of time. You receive an email that contains a link to the report when it's ready.

Basis supports up to 30 active report schedules by default for your organization. Contact your Customer Success Manager for more information about your scheduled report limit.

When a campaign exceeds the maximum number of groups / tactics, the DSP report selections are greyed out. The maximum number of groups is 50. The maximum number of tactics is 1000.

To create a scheduled report:

  1. Go to Main Menu [] > Reports.

  2. Select Create Report, then select a report type. See Creating a New Campaign Report and Creating a New DSP Report for more information.

  3. As you're selecting report options, select Create Schedule to set up a recurring report.

  4. Select the time frame each report should cover from the Data Through menu:

All times are in Eastern Time.

    • Past day: From 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM of the previous day.

    • Past week: From Monday at 12:00 AM to Sunday at 11:59 PM of the previous week.

    • Past month: From 12:00 AM on the first day of the previous month to 11:59 PM on the last day of the previous month.

    • Past 7 days: The previous 7 days, not including the day the report is created.

    • Past 14 days: The previous 14 days, not including the day the report is created.

    • Past 30 days: The previous 30 days, not including the day the report is created.

    • Past 45 days: The previous 30 days, not including the day the report is created.

    • Past 365 days: The previous 365 days, not including the day the report is created.

  5. From the Repeats menu, select how frequently you want to generate the reports:

    • Daily

    • Weekly

    • Monthly

  6. Enter the Start Date and the End Date to define how long the report schedule should run.

There are limits to the total number of reports that a schedule can generate. If your Repeats setting and Start and End Dates create a schedule that will produce more reports than these limits allow, the report schedule will fail:

    • Daily: 92 reports

    • Weekly: 52 reports

    • Monthly: 12 reports.

  7. Select the team members who should receive alerts when the reports are ready:

    • Select buyers from Email to account team.

    • Enter external contacts and other addresses to the Email to contacts outside of your organization field. Separate email addresses with commas.

When your reports are ready, these contacts receive a link to the report. This link is valid for 72 hours.

  8. Finish setting up your report. See Setting Report Scope if you're creating a DSP report.

  9. Click Create to save the report schedule. It appears alongside other reports on the main Reports modal. Click the report schedule to view all of its generated reports to date as well as the number of reports remaining. Use a reports Options [] to copy, delete, or pause a report schedule.

Scheduled reports are typically sent to the reporting queue around noon Central time to make sure that previous day's data has been received and processed before the report is generated.
