Using Exchanges

On the Exchange tab, you choose the exchanges you want the tactic to use.

How It Works

The Demand Side Platform (DSP) plugs into large ad exchanges, or Supply Side Platforms (SSPs) (i.e. Rubicon, Google, and Pubmatic), and makes their publisher inventory available to your tactic. Each time an impression becomes available on one of the exchanges, it is available to users of the DSP through an auction/bidding model. When an impression becomes available, your tactic bids on that impression. The winning bid will be placed on the exchange, and the winning advertiser to bid against other DSPs on that exchange. If that advertiser has the highest bid, the impression will be delivered.

For a list of available exchanges, see Exchange Integrations.

To go online, a tactic must select at least one exchange.

Selecting Exchanges

To let a tactic appear on impressions from any exchange:

  1. Go to Main Menu [] > Campaigns.

  2. Select a campaign.

  3. Select a media plan.

  4. Select Options > Edit to the left of a tactic.

  5. Select the Exchange tab.

  6. Select All exchanges.

Selecting Individual Exchanges

To select an individual exchange:

  1. Select Select exchanges.

  2. Click Add [+] to add an exchange you want for your tactic.

  3. If you want to select most of the exchanges, click Select all and clear the exchanges you don't want.

Searching Individual Exchanges

The search tool helps you find exchanges by name.

To search for an individual exchange:

  • Enter the name of an exchange in the search tool. The search results appear.

Note: The search filter doesn't change the selected status of an exchange. If you click Select all while using the search filter, all exchanges are selected, even those that you can't currently see.

Bid Multipliers

If your tactic uses bid multipliers, you can set bid multiplication factors for each exchange.
