Creating Tactics From Forecasts

Use a DSP inventory forecast as a template for new tactics to automatically apply the settings from a forecast instead of manually entering all of the information in the Tactic Editor.

You must create at least one forecast before you can create a new tactic from a forecast.

To create a tactic from a forecast:

  1. Go to Main Menu [] > Campaigns.

  2. Select a campaign, then select a media plan.

  3. On the DSP line item, click a group's Options [], then select Add tactic from forecast.

See Creating Groups and Adding DSP Line Items to learn more about setting up DSP campaigns.

Add tactic from forecast in the options menu for a campaign

  4. Click Add [] to select the forecast that you want to use as a template for the new tactic.

Add tactic from forecast page with the selection option to the left of each item

  5. Click Add. The Tactic Editor opens with your forecast's settings already applied.

The creative selections and duration from the forecast don't apply to the new tactic. Also, the forecast's budget will apply, but the tactic's Target Bid CPM automatically defaults to $3.00. Update these settings as required.

  6. Finish setting up your tactic. You must upload and link creatives before the tactic can bid, and the flight dates must fall within the group's and line item's start and end dates. See Tactics Overview.

  7. Click Save to create the tactic.
