Data Canvas Dashboard Templates
Data Canvas has seven template options to choose from when you create a new dashboard. This allows you to quickly and easily report on the most requested data without having to build a template from scratch. All templates are available for all clients, and are listed in alphabetical order by Title.
All templates can be customized when you are in edit mode. You can delete tiles you don't need, or create visualizations that aren't currently part of the template.
Although you can't edit a template to create and save your own, after you have customized a template, you can duplicate that dashboard to use for other clients and campaigns.
Here are some questions to consider when choosing a template for your dashboards:
-
Does my agency already have a standard set of metrics and dimensions we report on? Is there a template that matches this?
-
Does my agency want to include the same metrics and dimensions in all dashboards? Do we want to have a tiered system? Do we want different dashboards for different clients?
-
What is the objective of my dashboard; what am I trying to accomplish with this?
-
What information should be included; what key metrics should be included and how granular should my reporting be?
-
Who is the audience; what info do they need to know and what might they ask me?
Try creating a dashboard with each template ,so you can view the different visualizations and see the various metrics you can report on.
If you have a suggestion for a dashboard template, please send your recommendations to Basis Support.
For descriptions of the fields included in the tiles, see the Key Terms and Glossary and Calculations pages on the Basis Help Center.
