Uploading Image Ads

Note: You can upload ads from a campaign's line item view or through the tactic editor.

To upload an image ad:

  1. Go to Main Menu > Campaigns.

  2. Select a campaign.

  3. Select a media plan.

  4. Select DSP Actions > Creative.

  5. Select Add > Image on the Creative panel.

  6. Set up your creative on the New Image modal.

    • Ad Name: Enter the creative's name (maximum 150 characters). Enter a descriptive name you can recognize when you have many creatives in the DSP.

    • Destination URL: Enter the URL of the landing page to which the ad clicks through. This URL often points to an intermediate tracking server, which in turn sends the user to the landing page.

      • For URLs, include the https:// prefix.
      • For click-to-call tactics, use "tel:" followed by the phone number, including the country and area codes, such as tel:14165551234.
    • Image Impression Tracking URL: If you're using a third-party impression tracker, enter the image tracking URL to track impressions for the ad. If you have more than one, click Add image impression tracking URL. You can add up to three image trackers. The DSP automatically tracks impressions for your ads even if you don't provide a URL.

    • Script Impression Tracking URL: If you're using a third-party impression tracker, enter the script tracking URL to track impressions for the ad. If you have more than one, click Add script impression tracking URL. You can add up to three script trackers. The DSP automatically tracks impressions for your ads even if you don't provide a URL.

    • SSL Status: If the creative itself and all of the trackers it uses meet the requirements for secure environments, enable SSL secure. Make sure you mark the ad appropriately. If you mark an ad that contains non-secure elements as secure, it may not render correctly. The DSP uses this status to decide if the ad can be used for ATS-compliant impressions. See ATS Compliance for more information about testing an ad for ATS security.

    • Upload Image: Click Attach a file and select the image file that you want to upload. Make sure that it adheres to our Ad Specifications recommendations.
    • Brand Domain: Enter a domain that represents the brand. When you set the domain for the first creative that you upload for a brand, it becomes the default domain for any new creatives that you upload for that brand. See Brand Domains and Verticals for more information.

    • Brand Verticals: Select the categories that best represent the ad. When you set the verticals for the first creative that you upload for a brand, those become the default verticals for any new creatives that you upload for that brand. See Brand Domains and Verticals for more information.

Note: If you are creating a political campaign, you must select Sensitive Categories > Political (Elections). When you select this vertical, additional fields for political ad details appear on the New Image modal. See Uploading Political Ads for more information.

  7. Click Save, preview the creative, and click Close to return to the Creative panel.

After you upload your creatives, you can link them to tactics.
